Performance Specs

As usual, the base power source is a peppy four-cylinder engine. Engineered with the proven Honda i-VTEC technology, the direct-injected engine will be substantially more powerful than the outgoing version. This should be exciting news for a lot of drivers. For the car enthusiasts who crave hybrid-like gas mileage, Honda will also offer a new turbocharged engine. Buyers can opt for a CVT or stick with the six-speed manual gearbox. Due to the Civic model's lower ride height and improved suspension, drivers can look forward to impressive handling on the road. The car's performance is also aided by a variable steering system.

Interior

Honda designed the new Civic Sedan to be very accommodating. In fact, the rear-seat passengers will be provided with an extra two inches of legroom. Cargo space has increased as well. The spacious design in the new Civic certainly makes it a worthy family vehicle. While even the base seats are covered in premium cloth, the top-of-the-line trim provides heated seats for every passenger.

To achieve a sportier design, the new Civic is 2 inches wider and 1 inch lower. Honda has elevated to Civic design with a longer hood and an aerodynamic sheet metal exterior. Amongst its high-tech amenities, the 2016 Civic will offer LED headlights along with running lights and taillights.

Safety

Unsurprisingly, additional safety features are available for the new Civic. The new Honda Sensing safety package is designed to enhance the driver's awareness while behind the wheel. Innovations such as adaptive cruise control also help the driver to remain focused. In an effort to make the chassis stronger, Honda used an innovative welding process. This should equate to an exceptional level of crash protection.
