Brandon Honda is one of 11 Morgan Auto Group dealerships participating with Anna Cooke of The New Barker magazine to host JUST ONE DAY Pet Adopt-a-thon on June 11, 2017. We ask the public to bring unopened dog and cat foods to the event to donate to the 21 participating animal shelters and rescue organizations. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at dealerships in Tampa, Gainesville, Ocala, Wesley Chapel, and Lake City to help promote rescue pet adoptions and reduce euthanasias for just one day. Neil Cann joins Brandon Honda as new service manager

Neil Cann has joined Brandon Honda as service manager, reporting to service director Erik Vogel. He is responsible for managing all aspects of Brandon Honda's auto service operations, including customer service, personnel management, streamlining process flows, and service advisor training. He has 11 years of previous Honda service operations experience on the east coast at Hollywood Honda and Coral Springs Honda, where he first worked with Vogel several years ago. "A good part of my job is to continue to hone Brandon Honda's service processes to build customer satisfaction, confidence and retention," said Neil Cann. "My closest mentor over the years has been my father, Gary Cann, who is VP of fixed operations at a Coconut Creek dealership. I've learned from the best and am excited to lead this service team into the future."

Brandon Honda hires David Farner as executive manager

Sam Raabe is pleased to announce that David Farner has been hired as executive manager at Brandon Honda, a Morgan Auto Group dealership. In his new position as an executive manager at Brandon Honda, Farner works closely with sales and finance associates to finalize automobile lease and purchase agreements that best meet customers' needs. He grew up in nearby New Port Richey and is a 2006 graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

More than 30 Pets adopted at JUST ONE DAY Adoption Event at ten Morgan Auto Group dealerships

The JUST ONE DAY rescue pet adoption event sponsored by Morgan Auto Group dealerships and The New Barker on Saturday, June 11 was a huge success! Ten dealerships located throughout Tampa Bay and central Florida opened their showrooms to 20 pet rescue organizations to introduce adoptable dogs and cats to area families. More than 30 pets were adopted by new families, and showroom cars were filled to the brim with pet foods and supplies to help support all the shelters. JUST ONE DAY is a national movement to encourage shelters to stop killing animals for 24 hours and find creative ways to locate homes for their adoptable dogs and cats. This was the second consecutive year The New Barker and Morgan Auto Group worked together to raise awareness of all the healthy dogs and cats available for adoption at rescue groups and animal shelters.

John Marazzi, Morgan Auto Group's managing partner at Brandon Honda and Sun Toyota capped off the event by presenting checks in the amount of $1,000 to each of the rescue organizations participating at his two stores.

Brandon Honda helps "drive" rescue pet adoptions year-round

A lifelong proponent of shelter animal adoptions, John Marazzi, Managing Partner of Brandon Honda is now making it easier for shoppers to picture adorable pets available at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC) in their lives and in their Hondas. Eighteen cardboard cut-outs of shelter cats and dogs are now romping throughout the Brandon Honda showroom at 9209 E. Adamo Drive to steal the hearts of visitors and raise awareness of all the deserving, healthy dogs and cats available for adoption through breed specific rescue groups, SPCAs and humane societies, or at county-run shelters and animal services.

"My family and I have always had a deep passion for saving, fostering, and adopting shelter animals," said Marazzi. "They make wonderful pets when matched with just the right family for their personalities and needs. Sadly, crowded shelters simply can't feed and care for all the animals they receive, so many are forced to resort to euthanasia to keep their animal populations down to a manageable size. We feel a better solution is to encourage adoptions and foster arrangements, while raising funds for and volunteering at animal shelters."

Meany has been with Brandon Honda for eight years in sales and inventory positions. Meany is a native of Riverview and has worked in just about every department of automobile dealerships during his extensive automotive career. He applies all that experience in his new position to quickly and accurately evaluate trade-in vehicles for resale or trade.

Brandon Honda hires Jeremiah Soltis as Finance Manager

Sam Raabe is pleased to announce that Jeremiah Soltis has been hired as a Finance Manager at Brandon Honda, a Morgan Auto Group dealership. The finance and insurance management position involves helping clients choose between auto financing and insurance options when buying or leasing a new or used car.    

Originally from Wyoming, Soltis started working in an automobile dealership in Rock Springs when he was just 16 years old. He now has 15 years of experience in automobile dealerships in Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, and Florida, primarily in sales and finance positions. 

“Jeremiah works with clients in the same, positive way he would work with members of his own family,” said Sam Raabe, General Manager of Brandon Honda. “He empowers his clients by helping them understand financing and insurance protection options to enable them to make well-informed financial decisions. We welcome Jeremiah and are happy to have him join our F&I team.”

Brandon Honda hires Kenneth Sidwell as Executive Manager

Sam Raabe is pleased to announce that Kenneth Sidwell has been hired as an Executive Manager at Brandon Honda, a Morgan Auto Group dealership. The executive management position involves supervision of about 45 sales people, leadership and training.  

Sidwell has worked in automobile dealerships for the last 15 years, primarily in sales of new and used cars, as well as in finance positions.  He formerly served as an E-5 Sargent in the United States Army stationed in Fort Ord, California.

John Marazzi has promoted Sam Raabe, General Sales Manager of Brandon Honda, to General Manager, where he will oversee all operations including sales, service and finance. Raabe is a native of Ocala, Florida. In 2005, he first went to work in sales and finance at a Morgan Auto Group dealership, Honda of Ocala. In 2011, Raabe relocated to Tampa and joined Brandon Honda as Business Manager and was soon named to Sales Manager. By June of 2011, he had been promoted to General Sales Manager to oversee day-to-day sales operations.  

Raabe is a 2013 graduate of the NCM Institute’s General Management Executive Program, a comprehensive, professional development program for dealership executives to equip them for long-term success in the retail automotive industry. He was named to “40 Under 40” in Automotive News in July 2014 and in Business Observer in October 2014.   

“Sam is a strong leader who has earned this promotion by distinguishing himself every day on the job," said Managing Partner John Marazzi.
